Open Cities H1N1 Vaccines

Open Cities Health Center is one of the designated sites to provide the H1N1 vaccines (injection/nasal spray).

Who should receive the H1N1 vaccine: Everyone should receive the H1N1 vaccine. Following are the priority populations, according to the Minnesota Department of Health:

  • Age 6 months through 24 years, with or without a health condition that puts them at higher risk of medical complications from influenza.
  • Age 25 years through 64 years with a chronic medical condition that puts them at higher risk of medical complications from influenza.
  • Pregnant women.
  • Health care providers or emergency medical services personnel.
  • All healthy individuals ages 10-49 years old
  • Once again, it is advisable for everyone to receive the H1N1 vaccine.

    Where to receive the H1N1 vaccine: There are 3 ways you can receive the H1N1 vaccine:

  • Make an appointment with a nurse at OCHC free of charge. Call 651-290-9200 for the appointment.
  • Go to a flu shot clinic (see list of flu shot clinics below)
