Welcome to Open Cities Health Center!

Why we are here: OCHC is a nonprofit community health care clinic whose mission is to see every patient who walks through the door, regardless of the patient's socio-economic status, ethnic make-up or racial affiliation. Other clinics, hospitals and social service agencies routinely refer patients to OCHC because their clients have no insurance, are underinsured, or for any number of reasons they cannot pay for their health care.

OCHC's role as a safety net: OCHC has always been a clinic that serves everyone from individuals and families who are uninsured, not working or simply cannot afford health care to those who have full health care coverage. Today, during these tough economic times people often neglect their health because they feel they cannot afford to see a doctor or a dentist. They often wait until their pain or their health problem becomes so severe they end up in an emergency room or with much more severe and complicated illnesses, which in turn dramatically increases the cost of health care. We provide medical, dental, behavioral health, eye care, chiropractic care as well as outreach and education.

Mission and goals
The mission of Open Cities Health Center is to provide culturally competent primary and preventive health care and related services to all people throughout the Twin Cities metropolitan area. The goal is to improve the health and well being of high risk and vulnerable populations through the provision of affordable medical and dental care and related services.
